Weekend Mish Mash

We were quite busy this weekend........what, you say? We must have done a number of things to keep us busy? Oh, you'd be quite wrong! We spent the entire weekend doing one thing and one thing only....putting together a computer desk. Doesn't sound hard, but the thing had 3 huge boxes full of parts, which by the way, we didn't get all of the first time and had to go back to the store to get the one they forgot. Plus, doing stuff like this takes even longer when you have a baby to tend to! But the finished result looks awesome! I feel like an adult now, since we just got rid of the Walmart computer desk we've had since we got married, our last piece of crappy college-student-type furniture.
Since we spent the whole weekend obsessed with this one project, we didn't get anything else done, so we were pleased to discover the mounds of white snow that piled up outside while we weren't looking....SNOW DAY!! Yep, in North Carolina, any hint of white stuff calls for school closings and tons of vehicle accidents from the idiots who don't know how to drive in snow, and no one expects you to go to work. The world shuts down. So even though we're experienced snow drivers (we lived in Nebraska after all), we thought we could take advantage and have Cory stay home from work! I wish every day was a snow day.
Now to talk about the baby, since I just wrote 2 paragraphs about something other than her, can you believe it? First thing, we had a mommy-baby bubble bath together (our first one) and she was so cute we had to post pics (again, this is a G rated blog, mommy was wearing her bathing suit). Also, I (Sarah) am going back to work full time next week probably so I'm freaking out about leaving my little baby all day. It'll be easier because we've arranged for a church member to watch her in the mornings and Cory is actually going to go part-time at his job and stay with her in the afternoons. I feel better about leaving her since Cory will be with her part time. My job is just not conducive to working part time, whereas in Cory's field it's much easier. Plus, he'll make almost as much money working part time as I do working full time! Jerk.
Here's one more cute pic of Sophie for the road.

Hurray for grown-up furniture! I can't wait till we get some of that. Also, I can't believe you guys got that much snow. That's crazy. Also, Sophie is adorable.
