Sciworks

This weekend we took a trip to the local science museum, Sciworks. It's geared towards children and our excuse was that we wanted Sophie to see it, but since she's really too young to appreciate it, it was really just an excuse for us to play like children!

Playing Operation with tongs
Cory playing the giant piano for Sophie
Cory feeding Sophie to the T-Rex
Sophie the Owl
Yes, we're a little morbid!
Sophie staring at the Horseshoe crabs and fishies
In the Bat Cave
The "anti-gravity" mirror
The hydraulic lift that was strong enough to actually lift Cory and his hefty 200 lbs
Touching the laser tube thingy
Cory was fascinated with something that was most definitely geared toward a kid...yes, he is 30
We tried out the Segway....it takes some time to get used to! I admit, I was afraid.

My company Tengion, and the Regenerative Medicine Institute at the University had a display in the Biotechnology section of the museum. Cool!
We did see some outside animals too, like a white miniature pony, deer and a couple goats, but meh, they're not blog worthy. Sorry, goats.
