Where does the time go?

Time seems to be flying past me. Way too fast! I've been a stay-at-home mommy for just over 8 months now. Yikes! The first six months were, shall we say, treacherous, but now I find I actually enjoy it! This is because I have found things to keep me busy. I write science articles for Associated Content, and I also have been accepted as a writer for another, more professional online writing company. This company supplies websites like Livestrong.com and ehow.com with articles and they pay me A LOT more for my articles! 4-5 times more. Plus, I will also be doing some medical illustrating for the company I used to work for, to be used in manuscripts for publication. You know, drawing body parts and cross sections of arteries, things like that. Fun fun! If I'm allowed, I'll post them when I'm done. PLUS, I'm getting into couponing (wow, there is a whole world of crazy couponing blogs!) and trying to save us money that way. So I have a lot to do.

Not to mention, we are redecorating a bit and adding some color to our house, which wasn't so colorful before. Now it's more cheerful and makes me happy! We're still not done, but it's on its way. I wish I had "before" pictures to show you, dark furniture with no color.Cory is still plugging away at work. He is the rehab coordinator so he has to deal with a lot of unpleasant administrative stuff as well as do his SLP job. He did get to go golfing yesterday for the first time this season, so he's re-energized again. We both need to start exercising more since we are feeling unhealthy lately. Not to mention that we had to get a blood test done to get a discount for our health insurance and I found out my cholesterol is higher than a thin, 31 year old female should have. Cory's was pretty good though.

Sophie is doing well. She's such a big girl now. She sleeps like an angel, even goes to her crib by herself when it's time for a nap. She loves playing outside, can't seem to keep her indoors. She eats well and is so well behaved, what an amazing child!

That's awesome! Way to be a writer! I'm really impressed at how you can get work done and take care of Sophie and redecorate and everything. I can't do all that. And the house does look bright and cheery! Lovely.
