June fun

I've noticed the blogging world is slowing down these days, and we are no exception. Although I would like to try to keep it up even if people aren't reading it, because it's a great way to journal our adventures!

So let's see what happened in June...

I am becoming, much to my chagrin, very domestic lately.  I've been cooking new meals a lot and baking healthy treats. And I even made homemade jam. Mind you, it was the easiest thing to do in the world, consisting of strawberries, 1 grated apple, lemon juice and sugar in the crock pot for 3 hours, but I never thought in this universe I would ever MAKE. JAM. But I did.  And it was delectable.

Sophie had her dance recital in June. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. She says she doesn't want to do dance class anymore though, and would prefer to just dance around doing HER moves, in our living room.  That's fine by me, it's a lot cheaper!

We were in the Winston Salem newspaper! We were at the Children's Museum when they were unveiling a new exhibit so we got our pictures taken. We're famous! Here's the links to the article and pic:

June also consisted of swimming lessons for Sophie, and lots of outdoor summer play!
