All work and no play

Well we have been working like red-headed step-children lately ;)

We have been working like three-legged mules lately.

We have been working like Japanese beavers lately.

You get the drift. Out of the blue we decide (with the help of our realtor) to put our house up for sale! Oh, and to get it ready for listing in a week's time.

We've been wanting to move to a larger house in this general area, since our house is slowly shrinking for some odd reason. Since this house is considered a "first home" we wanted to take advantage of first-time home buyers, and the lovely free money Obama is handing them (a sweet $8000 chunk of change) to buy their first home. BUT the free money credit expires in November so we had to move quick. SO. We have been working non-stop first packing up half our crap (and boy, did we find we have a lot of crap!) and storing it in a friend's garage, that took 3-4 days. Then we had carpet people come by and give us all new carpet in every room, all while we hired a handyman to come do some painting, and fixing up of our house and deck and porch and yard, and you name it. SO. Our house was a circus the last week (the kind without the scary, nightmare-provoking clowns). Then we had to CLEAN everything, and we've been up till 1 am or so every night. This has been a lot harder with a baby around too! Someone always had to be on Baby-Duty. We had a couple friends come over and help a bit and believe me, we owe them BIG.

So our house is officially up for sale. The sign is in the front yard and everything. Scary! We have a couple houses in mind for what we would like to buy, but we have no idea how long our house'll be for sale, it could be a week, or a year!

So if you know anyone who wants to buy their first house, and happens to want to live here in lovely Clemmons, NC, direct them our way. They would be getting a sweet deal!

Here's some pics of our newly improved humble abode:
