So like the last month she has been accelerating in her development. She is doing new things all over the freakin' place! She just learned to pull herself up to standing once, and now like a couple days later she does it all the time, and can hold onto something with just one hand.
- she can SIGN "all done," and yes, I am for reals. Her first attempt at signing. At the end of a bottle I say, "Sophie, are you all done?" and she does the sign. GENIUS. She also knows the sign for ball, and more, and milk, and a few more, but doesn't sign them yet.
- she says "uh oh", when she drops something or whatever. We'll say it, and then she says it too, very distinctly. It's so cute.
- she waves, but I may have mentioned that in an earlier post somewhere, since she's been doing that for a while.
- she points to things she wants.
- she started turning the pages of books when we read to her.
On another note, she loves the water. Loves her baths, and getting sprayed in the face with mist (found that out at the park one hot day that has those mist sprayers), and now we know she loves swimming! We took her to a friend's pool for her first real swim, in a floaty thingy of course and she loved it. It was too cold for her wuss of a mother to get in the water, but she didn't even notice it was cold! She's Cory's blood all right, she must have some of those "professor coldheart" genes, since she doesn't like the heat. (that's Cory's mother's nickname, since she likes it cold in her house)

She sounds amazing. Our kids have picked up on their parents bad habits and sometime between 1 and 2 learned to say "cwap" when they drop stuff. Kind of funny until the say at church or loudly at the store.
Love the cheeks and the "rubber band' arms! Maura is the same way! They must be cousins!! (WINK)
