It's a.....girl?

We had our mid-pregnancy ultrasound this morning! Well, slap me silly and call me charlie! (is that even a real expression???) I was so sure it was going to be a boy! Actually, the u/s technician was only 90% positive it was a girl, because for the first little while the umbilical cord was right between the legs so it was hard to see any "baby boy parts" if they were there. But after a while, the cord moved a bit and the technician said she didn't see anything to indicate a boy. Because both our families have an abundance of boys I naturally assumed we'd have one first, but life certainly doesn't always go the way you expect! But we are very excited and also grateful that the baby appears normal up to this point. But I swear I am going to try to avoid the color pink as long as I can! Is it possible to have a girl baby without pink? Not that I hate the color, I just want to be difficult :)

Here are her feet:Profile:3D of face and hand (Cory says: "It's Han Solo Quinlan, and she's STILL frozen in carbonite!):Superior view of butt and legs pointing to the right (looking up from under her bottom), arrow points to lack of "boy parts"

That is so exciting. Maybe she and our one year old can go out in 20 years or so. She looks like a cutie!

Hey congrats guys!
I found your blog from the Stucki's blog and am somewhat updated on the past few years of your life :-)

Congrats! That's awesome. We definitely need to raise the girl quota. We'll have to send you something awesome and NOT pink. I'll see what I can do.

Oh, and love the Star Wars reference. Love it.
